Black Friday: Holiday Shopping Favorites for Mom
Plum District scouts the best Black Friday deals for Moms and their Family
Black Friday is a ritual for some, a one-time-never-again thing for others and a never-will-I-ever for more. For Mommies with bundles of joy costing them bundles of money, this sacred holiday shopping day rival’s your first born’s birth or wedding day.
We love the best door-busting big box deals just as much as the next Mom, but this year we don’t have to set the alarms or sneak out after dark. Black Friday is now Grey Thursday. Walmart, Kmart, Target, eBay and more are opening up their doors, virtually or otherwise, bright and early on Thursday for even bigger savings. So put that turkey leg down and gobble on over to your favorite discount retailer for door-busting deals for the holiest of all shopping days for deal-scouts.
Turkey? What turkey. Put that hunk of greasy meat down and find Plum District’s favorites for your holiday squeeze.
Toys R US
Toys R Us is pretty much the Mecca for savvy Mom shoppers. All those times you heard the little one scream “I want!” to the television, well you’re going to find that souvenir here.
Toys R Us Black Friday deals were leaked early, coming out with gifts like the Barbie Escalade electric ride-on car for a whopping $100 savings, a Fisher-Price Grand Dollhouse for $40 off and the Mega Blocks Halo sets discounted to 40%. Of course, while the items above might be on the kid’s kid’s wishlist, and your own Black Friday holiday shopping bundle, that doesn’t mean you have to turn your head to educational items like Disney storybooks, or essentials like classic organic clothing.
You’re most likely a Plum District subscriber, meaning you love to shop online. Who wouldn’t? With today’s technology it’s like using a pager in the ‘90s – everyone is doing it.
So jump into holiday shopping with Amazon’s Black Friday deals that have been spreading like lighting all over the web for weeks. Amazon has been delivering serious percentages off items like the EASEL for Two at 40% off. Plus, a slew of Blu-ray titles are marked for just $3.99, in addition to the video games, music and movies – like The Avengers, Lady and the Tramp, Rio and Ice Age – that’ll be low, low, low. Be weary, though – certain titles have specific time slots for purchasing (just a head’s up, The Smurfs will be from 12:20-4:20pm on Thursday). Just make sure the kid’s don’t catch Santa in the act!
We’re never surprised when Black Friday deals are leaked; Walmart will always remain at the top of our lists. Amid reports of a strike, Walmart stays true with mega discounts on electronics, toys and essentials. We love the Little Tikes Gourmet Prep n’ Serve Kitchen for $50 and can’t help but unleash a little squeal with the Fisher-Price Learning Farm for $40. Oh yeah, and selected Barbie’s are $5 each. Never one to disappoint, Walmart also reveals a slew of stocking stuffer art supplies like the Crayola® Twistables Color Wheel for $8.88 or Crayola® Wonder Value Kits at just under $20.
