I’m usually too stfeufd that I can barely eat dessert. I always eat waaaay too many appetizers and then gorge on stuffing. Stuffing is totally the best.Ashley @ Good Taste Healthy Me recently posted..

There was a show on TLC called Clean Sweep, and it used to rellay get me going on purging and organizing. It’s nice to lighten that load (one of my goals for summer is to attack our basement–hard part, it’s mostly my husband’s stuff and who wants to be in the basement in the summer?)GREAT job on your book! Woo hoo!Awards are nice, but readers are what counts. Count me.:)
Great, Google in Mauritius really seems very instteering. And it’s not only about programming I see. Thanks for tweeting the whole event
I’m impressed, I must say. Really relray do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
I have just happened upon this blog and diuoissscn and felt that I had to comment myself as I am a very regular user of Talkback. I am surprised that I missed this debate at all in fact, but considering the dates, I realise I was not attending the forum as much as usual at this time !Jonathan Telfer’s comment on here sums up my experience of Talkback on numerous occasions. Whilst generally finding TB friendly, open, supportive and useful there are certain people who think that they rule the roost and every opinion of theirs is the only valid one. (The person who constantly puts IMO in the diuoissscn shows this clearly)I am quite shocked at the attitude towards you Jane, in these instances and can honestly say that some people have shown their true colours in this(excuse the over use of cliches )I look forward to following your blog in future and am sure that your career is not poorer from you not visiting the Talkback forum !
I have been surfing oninle more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
Can I just say what a relief to find some1 who auclatly knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You certainly know how you can bring an problem to light and make it important. More people need to read this and comprehend this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more well-liked simply because you certainly have the gift.
Ok. I am relieved.Incidentally, I have waehctd a few news bulletins lately and they are watchable. I read that the new director there is somewhat more professional.
How I wish the new ObamaCare policies sppeortud the tactectomy procedure, so I could get mine removed and be as funny and tasteless as you.I keep trying, but I fail. Kind of like the guy in Right Stuff played by whatshisname Ed Harris. You know, couldn’t cuss at all even when he tried.Reply by on August 13th, 2009 at Thursday, August 13, 2009 @ 9:46 am@whall, what’s tasteless? Jokes about people who died decades ago?
Castor oil and peanut buettr?! , or something to that effect.Reply by on August 12th, 2009 at Wednesday, August 12, 2009 @ 11:15 am@Avitable, as in why did you choose castor oil? Reply by on August 12th, 2009 at Wednesday, August 12, 2009 @ 11:37 am@Avitable, other than the obvious I was being funny, of course okay, I’ll just shut up now Reply by on August 12th, 2009 at Wednesday, August 12, 2009 @ 1:01 pm@Nenette, well, this made me laugh, if that helps.
What I wouldnt give to have a detbae with you about this. You just say so many things that come from nowhere that Im pretty sure Id have a fair shot. Your blog is great visually, I mean people wont be bored. But others who can see past the videos and the layout wont be so impressed with your generic catch oning of this topic.
Maybe, but why spend money on a book? The only thing that will give you abs is keeping your body fat prneectage (BFP) below 11%. You can do a thousand crunches a day, but if you’ve got a BFP of 15% you’ll have laundry on that washboard. The actual prneectage differs for each person (we all store fat differently).Do about half an hour of cardio every day, and a few anaerobic lifts to increase overall calorie expenditure.
As a publishing pfosersional, I want to make a key distinction here:With POD, the cost of PRINTING is within reach of most writers.Printing is not publishing. I am head of the production department of a legitimate press, and if printing the book was the only thing a publisher did, I would be queen of the company. I wouldn’t have all these coworkers in the editing, marketing, and sales departments. If a self-publisher wants to be their own sales and marketing force, more power to them. If they can sell enough copies to make enough money to live on, then they should consider becoming a full-fledged publishing house.
Steeleweed wrote, With POD, the cost of publishing is whtiin reach of most writers. However, we are left with two other problems.First is marketing getting all those books in front of potential readers. I foresee sales organizations specializing in books, possibly a spinoff of the book packaging’ companies already there. Steele, you’re right: as I’ve already pointed out to Derek there’s a lot more to pay for than just the printing of the book, and marketing is just one of those things. There are already specialist sales agents who sell books to bookshops: publishers who don’t have their own sales-force use them all the time. But those sales companies won’t usually consider self-published books, as they’re usually not good enough for the bookshops to consider, and even when they are (which doesn’t happen often) the publisher doesn’t have the resources to support the sales staff they need to know that there are books in a warehouse somewhere, with a whole distribution system ready and waiting to fulfill the orders that they drum up. And how many distributors do you know which are willing to consider publishers with just one or two (or even five) titles under their belts?(Also, you seem to be a little confused about the role of book packagers in publishing you might want to click on the packager label on the front page of this blog I think there are a couple of articles for you to read.)
in the Talkback post was particularly crtaicil of you. Most of it just expressed surprise, given the (quite correct!) stance you’ve taken in the past and a discussion which illustrated what a tricky area it is. There was clearly no malice behind what you did, nor, I believe, in the comments of the people on the forum although clearly still some confusion between plagiarism and copyright infringmenet. It was just really a reminder that even the most knowledgeable and careful of us can make mistakes (or not, depending on your viewpoint!)
Hi There – I really like your “stay cotcenned with free updates” box. Can you please tell me where I can get the gadget (or code) for it. It is way cool and would look great on my new site. Thanks Annie
